Brief Description


Purpose

This Interinstitutional Graduate Program aims to provide specialized training in scientific methods of systematic and optimal management of the resources and operations of businesses and organizations, and in particular those that are active in Agritourism and Wine tourism, and those that specialize in organization of Cultural and Educational activities related to Tourism.


Education

The provision of high quality education in the scientific fields of the Interinstitutional Graduate Program will significantly contribute to the successful professional career of its graduates, giving them the necessary knowledge and skills required for their employment as business executives in agencies and organizations that operate mainly in special forms of tourism. It also provides students with the knowledge they need in order to continue their studies in the cycle of doctoral studies in Higher Education.



Item

The subject of the Master's Program is the Management of Business Operations with a specialization either in Agritourism and Local Development or in the Business Operations of Culture, Education and Tourism Activities.


Modules

The Interinstitutional Graduate Program delves into alternative forms of Tourism, such as Agritourism, Wine Tourism and their contribution to local development, as well as the effective organization of educational and cultural activities.


Postgraduate degrees


The Interinstitutional Graduate Program, jointly offered by the Departments of Tourism Management, Wine, Vine and Beverage Sciences at the University of West Attica, and the School of Production Engineering and Management at the Technical University of Crete, awards a unified Master’s Degree (M.Sc. in Business Operations Management). Students can specialize in "Agritourism, Wine Tourism and Local Development" or "Cultural, Educational, and Tourism Operations Management." The degree is jointly awarded by both cooperating institutions.
